It is illegal to sell alcohol to anyone under the age of 18. By placing an order with us via our website, you confirm that you are at least 18 years old. You must ensure that the details provided by you on ordering or at any time are correct and complete.
Where you are not the intended recipient of the order, you promise that the recipient is aged over the age of 18. Delivery may be refused if it is suspected that the recipient is less than 18 years old.
Prices and Descriptions
All bottles are 75cl unless stated otherwise. Prices listed are per bottle unless otherwise stated.
We do our very best to ensure that the products we list on the website are readily available. Every care has been taken to ensure that the details listed on the website are correct. If an ordered item becomes unavailable we will contact you as soon as possible to discuss the situation.
If the product is subject to a vintage change, we will automatically send the next available vintage of the same wine.
Once an order has been placed we will send you an email acknowledging your order. Please check the details of any order carefully and inform us as soon as possible if there are any mistakes.
If you would like to send an item as a gift, please ensure that the correct delivery address is entered on the order form.
If you would like to include a personalised gift message from you, simply email this request to us immediately after placing your order.
You may cancel an order for goods at any time until 14 days after you receive your goods. To cancel your order you must inform us in writing (by letter or email to firstname.lastname@example.org). Please include your name, address, order number, telephone number and whether you would like a replacement or refund.
We will endeavour to refund any monies paid within 14 days of cancellation and/or the goods being returned. Postage and handling charges are not refundable.
If you cancel, and the correct goods have been delivered, you must return the goods at your expense to our registered address (which can be found in the About section of the website). Please carefully secure and package the merchandise to prevent damage on the return journey.
If the goods delivered were incorrect, damaged or faulty then all monies paid (including postage) will be refunded. In the event of breakages in transit, please save the merchandise, and the packaging it arrived in, and notify us immediately. If you have any questions about faulty goods please don’t hesitate to email us at email@example.com.
Where items are in stock, we will aim to despatch orders within 24 hours – however, please allow up to 7 days for delivery.
All deliveries are carried out by an independent courier.
Delivery agents are instructed to only deliver items to persons aged 18 or over.
Our delivery agents will attempt to deliver three times and will leave cards each time. If they are unable to deliver the item it will be taken to their nearest depot, whereupon the recipient becomes responsible for collection.
Once goods have been delivered to you they will be held at your own risk and we will not be liable for any damage arising thereafter, their loss or destruction.
Our products are shipped using a fully tracked courier service. A signature is required for receipt of your order.
Delivery costs start at £3.20 for small accessories and £4.99 for a single bottle and larger accessories. Delivery is priced to be as competitive as possible. Please note that we do not profit from delivery charges.
Costs are as follows:
- 1 bottle: £4.99
- 2 - 3 bottles: £7.99
- 4 - 6 bottles: £10.99
- 7 - 12 bottles: £18.99
Delivery is free to anywhere in the mainland UK for orders totalling £75 or more up to a maximum of twelve bottles. For larger orders we will need to make special arrangements so please contact us before ordering.
Orders will normally be delivered three days after being placed, but may take up to five days. Deliveries are made Monday to Saturday. Please note that orders made on a Thursday will normally be delivered on the following Monday.

Ownership of the merchandise shall not pass to you before we have received cleared payment for the goods.
We accept payment via PayPal. PayPal is one of the largest, secure and most trusted payment provider services. If you have any questions about paying via PayPal please contact us.
Our website links to third party websites which may be of interest to you. We are not legally responsible for them as they are outside our reasonable control. You use such third party sites at your own risk.
All customers’ details are stored securely and we do not pass on any details to third parties, save for delivery purposes. By providing your details through our website, you consent to Charles Rose Wines maintaining, recording, holding and using the information you give us to process your orders, to improve our service to you and inform you of promotions. All data is collected lawfully and maintained in accordance with the Data Protection Act 1998.
Occasionally, we will e-mail you information about new products, promotions, special offers and other wine related information. If you do not wish to receive this information you may remove yourself by selecting the “unsubscribe” link at the bottom of our email communications, or by emailing us to request removal.
None of the above Terms and Conditions affects your statutory rights as a consumer.
